Tech Shorts Episode 90 - How Students Can Access Gmail on their iPad
In Episode 90, we explore how students can access Gmail on their iPad. We cannot install the gmail app on iPads because it is rated 17+ by the Apple Store, as Apple would like us to use their native app. We can get around that by logging in to mail.google.com and entering our usernames and passwords. In Episode 88, I demonstrate how you add an alternative host to your scheduled meeting in Zoom. This is especially helpful if you want someone else to have the ability to start the meeting. This needs to be done before you start a meeting. This is not the same as adding a co-host during a meeting, which can happen at any time during a live meeting and is the subject of Episode 87. Tech Shorts Episode 87 - How to Add a Co-Host in Zoom
In Episode 87, Kerri and I explain how you can make someone in your Zoom meeting a co-host. This helps with monitoring the chat, allowing people from the waiting room, and controlling other aspects of the meeting. Note that you can only make a co-host once a meeting has started. If you want someone else to have the ability to start the meeting, you will need to set them up as the alternative host when you schedule your meeting. Tech Shorts Episode 86 - Adding Members to a Course in Schoology
In Episode 86, Dolores demonstrates how you can add a member to a course in Schoology. Keep in mind that for Schoology courses that come from PowerSchool, if a member is not made an administrator, the new member’s name will be deleted the next time Schoology syncs with PowerSchool. For students, that means they will not officially appear in your Schoology course until they are assigned to your course in PowerSchool, so you may have to repeatedly do this. Let’s watch.
